Artist’s Statement
Jewellery should be about the enjoyment of wearable art.
Art should interact with its audience. It is sensuous and tactile, and should suit the individual mood, style and focus of the wearer. When jewellery is worn it is often for status or self expression. For art jewellery to be broadly successful it should accommodate these considerations and include the precious elements common to commercial jewellery to allow the viewer to have a stepping stone or platform from which they may begin to understand the individual’s or artist’s statement.
